1. The General Framework of IT Policies

1.1 Overview

These policies include all the regulations and practices that enable the deanship to carry out its work tasks efficiently and effectively, from technical infrastructure to e-transactions. These policies also enable integration with the internal work environment and relationships with the university community, and the university's academic, supportive, and administrative departments.

Scope

These policies are applied in all deanship areas of work related to technical infrastructure and e-transactions, including all the departments, sections and units affiliated to each area. These policies also contribute to the management of the deanship's relationships with the university community, including students, academic and administrative staff, and the academic, supportive, and administrative bodies.

Objective

Using these policies, the deanship endeavors to set regulations and practices to organize and carry out its tasks efficiently and effectively in all its work areas. These policies will contribute to establishing and developing work frameworks to boost the performance of the leadership, administrative, and technical teams in line with the strategic objectives of the deanship and the detailed objectives of the technical infrastructure and e-transaction fields.

Strategic Objective

These policies will contribute to setting a clear and specific framework to contribute directly to achieving the strategic objectives of the deanshiprepresented in dealing with the elements of the work environment to provide professional, secure, and integrated technical services according to local, regional, and international standards.

Activities

The tasks implemented by the deanship that are closely related to the work carried out by the leadership, technical, and administrative team to achieve the strategic objectives are represented in the following:

Establishing and developing an integrated technical infrastructure to meet the requirements of the local, regional, and international commissions. Building and developing integrated e-systems internally and externally. Boosting the effectiveness of human resources to ensure the efficiency of the technical, administrative, and leadership work. Developing guidelines for policies and procedures to ensure the quality of technical, administrative, and leadership work. Adhering to local, regional, and international quality standards in technical, administrative, and leadership work. Establishing and developing a competitive investment advantage. Automating all services and transactions.

Programs

The services provided by the deanship to the beneficiaries, including the local community and the different university departments using the resources of the technical infrastructure and the e-transactions.
