Introduction:

Due to the nature of Umm Al-Qura University and its proximity to the Holy Mosque in Makkah, and in line with the university's pioneering role in digital transformation and adapting modern technologies to serve the Islamic community, the university has launched the "Umm Al-Qura University Electronic Reading Platform." The platform aims to enhance the user experience by presenting a new model in the religious educational services offered to Islamic community internationally and locally to Arabic speaking and non-Arabic speaking. It is a reliable platform with an official Islamic and academic reference, focusing on providing a service for reading the Holy Quran, improving its recitation, refining its performance, and employing innovative and diverse methods using modern technologies and distance learning techniques to accommodate the expected large number of beneficiaries from all around the world through the platform. The services are provided by qualified readers and scholars specialized in the chain of narration connected to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Objectives:

  • Connecting all segments of the society with the recitation of the Holy Quran and attracting them to learn the Quran and its principles.
  • Disseminate the culture of reading through Quranic recitations on a broader scale.
  • Expanding the geographical scope for teaching the Holy Quran and its rules without being restricted by the boundaries of time and place.

 

Targeted Audience:

Muslims from all around the world who are eager to learn the Quran and its principles under the guidance of specialized scholars.

 

Levels:

 

 

 

First: Recitation and correction of the Quran from any part of the Quran according to the reader's preference.

Second: Explanation and application of the following rules.

  • Articulation points of letters
  • Characteristics of Letters

 

 

 

 

First: Recitation and correction of the detailed (from Qaf to An-Naas).

Second: Explanation and application of the following rules.

  • Rules of Lam and Ra
  • Rules of Mudood

 

 

 

 

 

First: Recitation and correction of Surah Al-Fatiha and Juz' Amma.

Second: An introduction to the definition of Tajweed, its significance and rules.

Third: Explanation and application of the following Tajweed rules:

  • Rules of Noon Sakinah and Tanween
  • Rules of Meem Sakinah
  • Rules of Noon and Meem with Shaddah
  • Rules of Qalqalah
