Overview:

The Department of E-Transactions seeks to participate in the preparation of future business plans for the development of information systems. It also prepares studies related to the integration and interconnection of databases to provide optimal use of information and access to e-services easily and smoothly without temporal and spatial barriers. In addition, the Department secures the requirements for the work of its sections, and seeks constant follow-up of work and evaluation of its employees’ performance. It comprises three sections that operate integrally to implement the missions assigned to the Department in coordination with the rest of the Vice-Deanship’s departments. This is in order to achieve the objectives of the Vice-Deanship’s operational plan. The sections of the Department are as follows:     


System Analysis Section:

The section is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Participating in the management of licensing and network services.
  • Participating in the management of configuration and storage.
  • Participating in control plans and programs to access the internet and browse Internet Explorer, as well as email and internet services.
  • Participating in security policy review, and addition of new policies as requested by the user.
  • Participating in reviewing user requests and contributing to the design of security policies for services and networks.

User Interface Development Section:

The section is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Participating in the management of licensing and network services.
  • Participating in the management of configuration and storage.
  • Participating in control plans and programs to access the internet and browse Internet Explorer, as well as email and internet services.

UQU E-Portal Section:

The section is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Participating in the preparation of future business plans for the development of information systems.
  • Participating in the preparation of studies related to the integration and interconnection of databases.
  • Participating in the development of the systems applied to the University's web page.
  • Participating in the analysis and development of UQU website and services included therein.
  • Participating in the analysis and development of electronic systems on the E-Services Portal.
  • Participating in the analysis and development of smart phone applications.
