Overview:
This department is concerned with the development of all the interfaces of electronic systems developed by the Deanship. In addition, it coordinates with the external entities that implement UQU systems in order to unify the visual identity and design according to the official UQU website. It also secures the appropriate environment for the work of its sections, and seeks constant follow-up of work and technical evaluation of its employees’ performance. The Department comprises the following sections:
User Experience Design Section:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Reviewing the analysis of electronic systems’ requirements from a "user experience" perspective.
- Preparing the Target Groups Document and the requirements of each group.
- Setting up screens flow charts.
- Setting up sketches for screens.
- Setting up graphics for screens.
- Setting up information architecture planning.
- Setting up content strategy.
- Applying UQU visual identity to the interfaces of electronic systems.
- Applying Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and conducting the necessary tests thereof.
User Interface Programming Section:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Preparing the developmental environment of each project.
- Preparing the Continues Integration environment.
- Preparing the Prototype for each project.
- Programming the page structure using HTML and CSS.
- Programming the interactive elements on pages using JavaScript and Web Services.
- Developing and preparing Reusable UI component.
- Preparing multiple copies of screen development to support Responsive Design or Adaptive Design requirements.
- Testing screens after completion of software development.
- Testing the outputs of the software development (Unit Test).
- Preparing reform reports, if any.
- Supervising the merge between interface software development outputs and electronic systems, in cooperation with the electronic system development teams.
