Customizing User Account Policy:

User accounts serve as an identification identity that enables users to use the electronic services provided to them by the Deanship of Information Technology.

Overview

This policy applies to all users of the university's electronic services.

Scope

Building and developing e-systems that are fully integrated, internally and externally.

Automating all services and transactions.

Strategic Objective

Administering the user account management process.

Objective

 

Policy:

  1. UQU identification identity is a user account assigned to each academic member, employee or student who uses the university's technical systems. The UQU account is created by the Deanship of Information Technology for any person who needs to access the university's IT resources to achieve a specific practical or educational objective.
  2. A UQU account will be allocated to all admitted students once they are enrolled in the university.
  3. A UQU account will be allocated to all academic staff and personnel once they are hired or employed by Umm Al-Qura University.

Operational Policies and Procedures:

  1. A student account will be created through the Microsoft Office 365 platform in the following format: [email protected] , if the university application number is 4382525.
  2. A staff account will be automatically created to the university personnel through the Microsoft Office 365 platform in the following format: {1}{2}{3}@uqu.edu.sa, where
  • {1} represents the first letter of the first name.
  • {2} represents the first letter of the father's name.
  • {3} represents all the letters of the last/family name.
