On Monday morning, 30 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., the College Role Model Contest was held as the first phase of the University Role Model Contest, which is run at the level of Umm Al-Qura University colleges. Two candidates ran for the College Role Model contest, which was held in the presence of faculty members and a number of students.
At the end of the contest, the student Ali Saeed Al-Barakati from the Department of Physics won the first place, while the student Muhammad Hussain Al-Maliki from the Department of Social Service came second. A number of students participated in the vote, after the contestants submitted two impressive presentations on their activities and innovations throughout their studies at the university.
The jury was chaired by the College Coordinator, Dr. Makhlad bin Owaid Al-Saeedi, and consisted of the members: Dr. Amer bin Saeed Al-Shehri, Head of the Department of Social Service, Mr. Ahmad Ba-Muharram, Head of the Department of Arabic Language, and Dr. Ismael Gharaibah, faculty member at the Department of Physics.
The jury counted the recorded votes for each participant, checked the criteria for participation and the points for each item, and finished its work by announcing the results.
The college congratulates the student Ali Saeed Al-Barakati for winning the College Role Model title. Consequently, he will be the candidate representing the college in the University Role Model Contest. The college also congratulates the student Muhammad Hussain Al-Maliki for winning the second place, thereby becoming the reserve candidate for the University Role Model Contest.
