Students of Al-Leith University College Participate in the Governor of Makkah Region Meeting for Youth

On Tuesday 29 Safar 1441 A.H. after Maghrib Prayer, a number of students from Al-Leith University College participated in the monthly meeting held under the patronage of his Royal Highness the Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Prince of Makkah Province, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, and the Governor of the Makkah Region, with some young men. The meeting was held in His Excellency's residence at Jeddah in accordance with an invitation sent by His Excellency to university students to listen to their views, suggestions and needs. Students of Al-Leith University College were represented by the following:

  1. Muhammad Hussein Al-Maliki, Social Services Department.
  2. Abdulaziz Awad A-Nairi, English Language Department.
  3. Ali Said Al-Barakati, Physics Department.
  4. Abdulaziz Awad Al-Shihri, Mass Communication Department.
  5. Ibrahim Bersis Al-Matani, English Language Department

The meeting was also attended by the college coordinator, Mr. Hisham Faisal Habhab.

The participating students expressed their deep thanks to His Excellency the Prince for his honorable invitation, and for giving them the chance to attend and participate in the meeting that was characterized with transparency of meaningful raised issues and enriching interactions. Abdulaziz Awad Al-Shihri, in his interaction with His Excellency, raised an issue of supporting the university volunteer students in their specialization field at private and public sectors during summer vacations to increase the students' experience in their field of specialization. The initiative was received with appreciation from His Excellency the Prince. The idea is in line with the contributions made by the male and female students of Al-Leith University College in the field of volunteer work, since they exerted a total number of 8,000 hours in volunteer work throughout the previous academic year. This was documented by the Social Services College. Further, they expressed their appreciation to the college and different departments for supporting their attendance at the meeting and other diverse scientific and enriching activities.
