The Department of Family Education (female section) presented a training course entitled "Bread Fortified with Nutrients for School Students” on Tuesday 5 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1440 A.H.
- Use brown flour, which is rich in fiber, mineral salts, and vitamins such as vitamin B compound, as a substitute for white flour, which contains fewer nutrients than brown flour.
- To increase the nutritional value of the bread, some nutrients have been added, such as protein, represented in the addition of minced meat and different types of cheese. Some carbohydrates, such as chocolate, jam, and Nutella have also been added.
The activity was held under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Prof. Amal Uwais, the Supervisor of Activities at the Department, Dr. Huda Al-Shahali, and the course professor, Dr. Hajar Bura`i.
