The University College in Al-Lith, on Monday 30/07/1439 AH, held a closing ceremony for the activities of programs of the academic year 1438/1439 AH, under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Al-Malki, college dean, and the presence of the college’s vice deans, departments’ heads, faculty members and students.
The ceremony started by reciting verses from the Holy Quran by Abdelrahman Al-Malki, a student, and then Mr. Haroun Takrouni, a teacher assitant at the Media Department and supervisor on the Unit of Student Affairs, gave a presentation on the activities and programs organized by the college throughout the academic year. The number of those activities reached 10, along with 3 cultural competitions and 2 symposiums. More than 500 students attended them and benefited from them. Then, an operetta entitled "The Nation’s Pride" was shown.
The college dean delivered a speech thanking all those who participated and interacted in the student activities; motivating the students to continue, interact and participate in the activities for their significant role in the student’s scientific and practical life that considered in a parallel line with the educational process within the classrooms. He concluded his speech by thanking and appreciating Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafeel, UQU President, for his ongoing support to all the activities and programs of the college.
Thereafter, the faculty members participating in the activities were honored, in addition to the outstanding students at the level of the college’s departments, and the students participating in the activities as well.
