The aim of the activity was to train and educate the female students on their preventive and therapeutic role as social workers with mental health patients, and what are the mental disorders that individuals may sustain? What factors lead to mental illness? How are they treated through using cognitive behavioral therapy? This was done through the use of educational means, such as paintings and stereotypes of mental and psychological diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, depression and anxiety and what are their symptoms as well as how to treat them from the social side. An example is the role of the social worker with the Alzheimer's patient; how to prepare him\her to accept their illness and help them adapt to the effects associated with the disease such as forgetfulness. There is also the role of social preventive specialist, as Alzheimer's patients are more likely to have other psychological diseases such as depression due to changes take place when suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's patient may withdraw from the social milieu, and may stop working, self-interest and other social side effects associated with Alzheimer's disease.
