Within the endeavor to support the efforts exerted by Al-Leith University College in refining the skills of the students and developing the abilities and skills of graduates from different academic departments, the Department of Mathematics organized a training course entitled: "Steps to Conduct a Statistical Study" on Wednesday, 11 Sha`ban 1442 A.H., for two hours, from 07:00 to 09:00 p.m. The course was presented by Dr. Muhammad Atef Abdullah, an academic staff member in the department.
The theoretical part of the course was designated to introduce the SPSS program, covering the most important features of this program and highlighting its importance in scheduling, analyzing and processing data. In addition, the course clarified the extent of the suitability of the program to the different levels and experience of the users of office, statistical and analytical programs.
The practical and applied part of the course was designated for training on the SPSS program, giving examples of frequency tables as well as outlining how to find the central tendency and to calculate the confidence interval for a community average for a random sample.
