The Department of Physics (female section) organized an activity entitled: “Radiation Medicine”, on Thursday, 6 Rajab 1442 A.H. The activity, which was held by Dr. Naima Matirawi and the students of the Department of Physics, aimed to provide an overview of radiation medicine and the types of medical imaging tests: X-rays, CT scans, and magnetic resonance imaging. Moreover, the activity tackled the several types of radiation therapy, and the risks and health effects of radiation exposure.
