By Allah's virtue and grace, the introductory meeting for the students of the Qualifying Year at Al-Leith University College was held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 2 Safar, 1441 A.H. The meeting was attended by all the students of the qualifying year. The event started by introducing the supervisor of the qualifying year to the students, and informing them about office hours in which they can inquire or express their remarks, if any. They were also given the supervisor's contact information (email and telephone number) to communicate with him if there was any need.

Next, students were introduced to the supervisor, who made sure they had completed their schedules and who checked their punctuality in attending lectures. He also made sure that they did not face any problems related to the schedule. Afterwards, students were informed about the courses they would study during the coming semester. Moreover, His Excellency the Supervisor of the Qualifying Year Program and the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Hadi Al-Samadani, pointed out to them that they had the right to join the regular system at the university for the bachelor stage according to the following:

  1. The student must attain a GPA of at least 2 out of 4.
  2. The student must not have received a D (deprived) grade in any course.
  3. The student must apply for one of the majors related to the college from which he qualified, as per the applicable rules and criteria.

Following this, there was a chance for students to pose their questions and inquiries, which were then answered. Most of their inquires were about the possibility of transference. Dr. Hadi pointed out to them that they will be treated like the rest of their colleagues as soon as they are registered as regular students in the bachelor stage. They will have the right to apply for transfer during the seventh and eighth week of the semester.

The meeting ended by reminding them about the importance of diligence and persistence in order to attain educational achievements, explaining that this should be for the sake of serving themselves and their dear country, and achieving the aspirations of their wise leadership.
