A training course for the academic staff was held at the training hall at Al-Leith University College under the title "Formulation of Learning Outcomes." The course is part of a series of courses offered by the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality to develop the capacity of the academic staff and leaders at Umm Al-Qura University.
His Excellency the Dean of Al-Leith University College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki, stated that this course represents a quick response from the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality to proposals for the establishment of special courses for the branches to relieve pressure on academic members. This course aims to benefit the largest number of members at the university branches that are remote from the headquarters of the university. This indicates the keenness of the university administration to pay attention to the branches in general and to the academic staff in particular. Her Excellency the Vice Dean of Al-Leith University College (female section), Dr. Eman Al-Lihaibi, said that such courses contribute to the continuous professional development of academic staff, which will have a positive impact on their performance and will contribute to the continuous improvement of the educational process.
The course was presented by Dr. Amal Uwais Sabir, the supervisor of the college's Quality Unit, who mentioned that the choice of the topic of the course, "Formulation of Learning Outcomes," was a priority because of its importance in the educational process and its relation to the basic components of the programs and curricula, in addition to its importance in output-based education, which is central to quality assurance and academic accreditation processes.
