Female students studying the subject of "Religious Sects Claimed to Belong to Islam" at the Department of Da`wah and Islamic Culture presented an activity entitled "Invented Forms of Spiritualism." The activity aimed to clarify the influence of some oriental philosophies on contemporary life. The philosophies presented in this activity include Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism, and some esoteric currents that have emerged in the West such as theosophy and New Thought, along with modern pagan religions and extreme philosophical Sufism. The activity demonstrated the erroneous nature of these practices and devotions from the Islamic creedal viewpoint. The activity was supervised by Ms. Hadil Al-Samih.
