The Department of Arabic Linguistics, Grammar, and Morphology at Al-Leith organized an activity in celebration of International Women's Day on Monday 10 Rajab 1440 A.H.
The activity was carried out by the female students of the Department of Arabic Linguistics, Grammar, and Morphology with the aim of illuminating the status of women and the principle role they played in all fields of life. The ceremony included a historical introduction to shed some light on the background of this occasion, how the idea of dedicating the 8th of March each year to celebrating this occasion came about, and which were the first countries to officially recognize this occasion.
The activity included a PowerPoint presentation that provided an overview of some important female figures in the Arab world. It focused particularly on some influential Saudi women who positively impacted the international and local communities, and distinguished themselves as examples of active and diligent Saudi women in the fields of health and education, among others.
This activity was held under the supervision of the Deputy Head of the Department, Ms. Nabilah Al-Shareef, and the course lecturer, Ms. Sawsan Kamal Al-Din.
