The activity entitled "Our Health Lies in Our Food" was planned two months ahead of time. The students began dividing the exhibition area of the event into several corners according to the nature of the food and its effect on the human body. For example, the therapeutic food corner exhibited vegetables and fruits that are consumed to help treat specific diseases. There was also a corner exhibiting appropriate foods for underweight treatment, which included a range of foods that cause weight gain, such as eggs and fenugreek. There was also a diet corner, which included foods with fewer calories.
The students designed each corner of this exhibition and decorated them with pictures, information leaflets, and reports. They compiled all this material in a special comprehensive file that they then placed in the department library as a classified reference and guiding document available for viewing.
The exhibition was attended by academic staff from the Department of Chemistry and various other departments, and was admired by all visitors.
The activity was organized under the supervision of Associate Professor Manal Khudairi and Dr. Nisreen Al-Zuwaibi.
