The Department of Family Education (female section) offered a training course entitled, 'Photoshop for Fashion Design', on Monday, 4 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. A training portfolio was prepared for this course, including Powerpoint slides, in order to acquaint the attendees with the importance of the Photoshop program in general, and the field of fashion design in particular, as it is the subject of attention of the female graduates and students of the Department of Family Education.
During the course, the female students became acquainted with Photoshop and its icon, and learned how to install the software on the computer and to open it. The female trainees also became acquainted with the program interface, and how to use it, and to apply their knowledge to make photos of mannequins, dresses, and different garments. In addition, the female trainees learned how to make suitable backgrounds for different designs, and how to save the photos and to utilize this program in their field of work.
The main objective of this training course included:
- To find different fields of work, using modern technologies that may help the female students encounter the difficulties of life.
- To encourage the female students to work at home.
- To provide the female students with training on different skills in their life, and to develop these skills.
This course was held under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Prof. Amal Uwais.
