The Department of Family Education (female section) presented a training course entitled, 'Nutrition During Pregnancy', on Sunday, 20 Muharram, 1440 A.H. The course was offered with the aim of identifying nutritional needs during pregnancy, and to acquaint the attendees with the essential nutrients that a pregnant woman needs in order for her to avoid difficulties during pregnancy.
The nutrients which a pregnant woman needs should provide energy, and contain fats, proteins, mineral salts, and vitamins. The course covered the problems that may happen due to malnutrition.
This course was held under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Prof. Amal Uwais.
