On Sunday, 24 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., the Department of Social Service in Al-Leith (Female Section) organized an event entitled, "International Day for Persons with Disabilities".
The event was carried out by the female students of the Department of Social Service. This day aimed at increasing the understanding of disability issues, supporting friendly designs for all people to guarantee the rights of those with special needs, and paying attention to the achievements and contributions of people with special needs. In addition, pamphlets on the effectiveness and objectives of the event, the achievements of people with special needs, and their rights and needs in society were distributed.
The activity was held under the supervision of the deputy head of the department, Dr. Rasha Majlad, Ms. Hind Al-Hazmi, and Ms. Wala' Al-`Utaibi.
