The Department of Social Service (female section) at Al-Leith University College organized an informative program on the International Day of Osteoporosis on Monday, 13 Safar 1440 A.H. This activity was initiated by the students of the Department of Social Service as part of the field training course No. 4. The program included a presentation on osteoporosis (types, causes, and treatment methods). The next thing discussed was the role of social workers in the management of this chronic disease. Methods of preventing the disease were also tackled. Increasing health awareness about osteoporosis was the aim of this activity.
The activity was held under the supervision of the deputy head of the department, Dr. Rasha Majlad, and course lecturer, Laila Al-Abbud.
