Al-Leith University College held an educative campaign against breast cancer. It aimed at informing people about the dangers of breast cancer, to increase their awareness and limit the spread of breast cancer by informing people about the symptoms and the treatment. This is because increase of awareness leads to earlier detection of the disease, which leads to higher rates of staying alive for a long period of time.
Being acquainted with the causes of the disease limits the chances of being inflicted with it. The method of home examination and the healthy foods that limit the spread of the disease were described through the use of brochures, educative boards, and the distribution of samples of healthy food.
The activity was carried out by the Chemistry Department, under the supervision of Dr. Amal Aidiyah and Ms. Fatimah Al-Zubaidi.
