Social Service Department (Female Section) organized an educative activity on breast cancer entitled, 'You are not Alone', on Sunday, 19 Safar, 1440 A.H.
This activity was conducted by female students at the Department of Social Services. It aimed at informing people about breast cancer, and how to perform a self-examination using a detailed video show and brochures that point out the steps in more detail. The activity also dealt with risk factors and causes of breast cancer. Next, the foodstuffs that help in the prevention against breast cancer were shown and distributed as samples, to point out its health benefits, such as green tea, nuts, pomegranates, and apples. At the end of the activities, positive messages were sent to those suffering breast cancer.
The activity was undertaken under the auspices of Ms. Wala' Al-Utaibi and Ms. Nawal Al-Qarhi.
