On Tuesday 28 Safar, 1440 A.H., the Dean of Al-Leith University College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliky, inaugurated the activities of the introductory meeting of the Tenth Scientific Forum for Umm Al-Qura University students. The forum will be held by the UQU, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, from 19 to 23 Jumada Al-Thany, 1440 A.H., at its headquarter in Al-Abdiyyah.
The meeting began with a noble Qur'anic recitation, followed by a speech delivered by Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliky, who praised the noble care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their keenness to fulfill the needs and aspirations of their youth to activate their developmental role in the community and make use of their capabilities. He also stressed the importance of developing the scientific capabilities of the students. Al-Maliky called on the students to appreciate the value of student activities in achieving this developing role, displaying students' capabilities and developing these activities through the scientific experience provided by the university. He also stressed that the college will employ all its scientific capabilities to serve the students.
The Teaching Assistant at the Department of Mass Communication and the college's coordinator of the University Role Model Contest, Mr. Harun Takaruny, gave an outline on how to participate in the contest, and stated the required conditions and terms.
