Under the auspices of the Dean of Al-Leith University College, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Maliki, the college celebrated the 87th anniversary of the national day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the slogan of, "Homeland Vision", at the college's theater. The celebration was in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Dean of the College for Educational Affairs, Dr. Faisal Al-Harbi, the heads of departments, academic staff, and students.
The ceremony started with a recitation of the Noble Qur'an by student Abdul-Rahman Al-Maliki. Next, there was a visual presentation on the biography of the founder of the kingdom, King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul-Rahman Al Saud (may Allah be merciful to him), and how he entered Riyadh to restore the rule of his fathers and grandfathers. Then, student Yahyia Al-Hilali recited a poem on the occasion of the national day. The poem was praised by the attendees. This was followed by the operetta, "Homeland Vision", which was prepared by the Students Affairs Unit in the college. After that, the event sponsor His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki, delivered a speech in which he confirmed the importance of having a homeland that protects and shelters the person. He stressed that honoring the homeland does not only entail narrating beautiful words and phrases on such occasions, but rather a sense of loyalty which necessitates preserving homeland capabilities and sacrificing souls in the defense of its soil. Wrapping up his speech, he prayed for Allah (the Glorified and Exalted) to preserve the security and stability of this land under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
As the ceremony drew to a close, gifts were distributed to the students. A similar ceremony was also held in the female's section.
