As per the invitation of the Deanship of Information Technology at Umm Al-Qura University and as part of the trend towards the digital transformation and in support of the Kingdom Vision 2030, a workshop was held between the e-Government Program (YESSER) and Umm Al-Qura University on (Application Mechanism of the National Overall Reference Architecture "NORA" in the university) on Sunday Rabi Al-Thani 14, 1439 H. The workshop was held at the office of the University Vice Presidency for Academic Development and Entrepreneurship.
The workshop was attended by UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi, Dean of Information Technology Dr. Fahad Al-Dossari, Vice Dean of IT for e-Transactions, Dr. Atef al-Hejaili, Vice Dean of IT Dr. Majid Farrash, Vice Dean of University Development and Quality for Assessment and Evaluation, Dr. Ziab Al-Maliki, Director of IT Projects Management Office Eng. Ahmed Al-Ramlawi, the Counselor at IT Deanship Dr. Yassin Al-Kholaifi in addition to YESSER's team.
The meeting agreed on the implementation mechanism and project achievement phases to be conducted in the shortest time possible so as for Umm Al-Qura University to take the lead in this domain.
It should be mentioned that Enterprise Architecture (EA) can be defined as the practices and regulations concerned with the implementation of the vision and strategy of the government agency by effecting necessary changes to match between business objectives and procedures in the agency in one hand, and the information technology (applications, data, information technology infrastructure), on the other hand.
