The Deanship of Information Technology Launches a Package of Training Courses for the University and Local Communities

The Deanship of Information Technology launched a package of remote training courses targeting university affiliates, including academic staff, students, employees, and the local community. The package, which is entitled, "Uses of Microsoft Teams", will be offered in cooperation with Microsoft starting Tuesday, 2 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1442 A.H., corresponding to 17 November 2020 A.C., and continuing for the next three weeks, one course every Tuesday.

The first training course was attended by more than 500 people, including 153 academic staff and employees, 288 male and female students, and 85 individuals from the local community. In this regard, a plan has been drawn up for the Training Department of the deanship to provide a set of specialized technical courses for the university and local communities, and a number of internal and local partnerships have been implemented, in light of the university's interest in its social responsibility and in line with the vision of the Ministry of Education. The program is characterized with the ability to share conversations and files of various kinds, manage meetings and virtual classes with high security and high quality control, as well as other high-tech features.

The official in charge of training at the deanship, Mr. Ghali Farouq Bati, stated that these courses are the start of a group of specialized technical courses for the university and local communities. He stressed that the success of these courses is a result of the support and efforts of His Excellency the Dean of the Deanship of Information Technology, Dr. Atef Al-Hejaili, and the follow-up and supervision of His Excellency the Vice Dean for Projects and Development, Dr. Abdullah Al-Zahrani.
