All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the most honorable among Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an, "O My Lord, increase me in knowledge." Seeking to enhance one's knowledge in the medical and worldly sciences to serve the university community begins with providing scholarships for the kernel of education in the educational institutions, i.e. the teacher, the teaching assistant and lecturer. The take-off point for this endeavor is the College Vice Deanship for Postgraduate Studies. Then those scholarship students should be followed up in the scholarship country via the Saudi cultural missions and the Scholarships Department to help them come back home and to serve their religion and then their king and beloved country. from the podium of the holiest place Umm Al-Qura University which offered us bright opportunities for learning and seeking more knowledge in the most prominent universities and educational institutions around the world.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever pursues a path to diligently seek knowledge, Allah facilitates for him a path to Paradise and the angels will lower their wings for the student of knowledge out of [Allah’s] good pleasure over him. The inhabitants of the heavens and the earth and even the fish in the depth of the oceans seek forgiveness for him." Seeking knowledge is obligatory for every male and female Muslim.

The Vice Deanship for Postgraduate Studies provides the first step to prepare the academic staff for postgraduate studies abroad. We are looking to play an integrative participatory role to achieve the goals of the college in particular, and the university and nation in general, in our endeavor to keep pace with the nation's vision in the transformation to a knowledge economy investing in the human element, i.e. the citizen, whom the government has paid the top concern.

The Vice Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research is concerned with the development of the citizen and the teacher. It also works on preparing and introducing graduate studies programs in the college in line with the needs of the national labor market to serve its aspirations of self-sufficiency, in terms of developing national educational and professional cadres in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The vice deanship, together with the Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies, oversees the preparation of the workshops and relevant research proposals, and supports research in the different specializations of the college as part of its endeavors to stimulate, encourage, and support scientific research's at Umm Al-Qura University.
