Pharmacology and Toxicology are integrative and interdisciplinary sciences that investigate the actions of chemical agents on living systems. The department's staff has a clear mission to qualify students to properly understand pharmacology before applying its principles on refining clinical pharmacological skills to precisely choose medications. It helps students to understand the effects of drugs, types, effects on cells' future, drug dynamics' applications, drug interactions, Pharmacokinetics (PK) and the side-effect of every drug. Pharmacology, as a science, investigates the therapeutic effects of drugs, indications, toxicity, in addition to drug-food interactions. On the other side, the Toxicology investigates the harmful effects of chemical materials, including drugs, and how the intoxication happens. It studies the symptoms of poisoning, treatment and protective measures.
