The Department of Pediatric is a clinical department at the College of Medicine. It teaches pediatrics through the study of diseases that may infect children and the different methods for diagnosing and treating them. The Department teaches the pediatric emergencies, the study of various vaccines required to protect children from various diseases, their timing, their complications and ways to deal with them, the study of the different phases of development and behavior in all age groups of children, whether they are normal or pathological and the methods of evaluating, treating and preventing them, knowing the means of maternal and child care and educating mothers during the phases of pregnancy, lactation and beyond.
