The physiology is an important science to understand and study the various functions that occur in the human body which reflect the full consistency in the performance of the different organs of the human body. The physiology has evolved in line with the evolution of medicine and its sciences and has been linked closely to the diagnostic clinical medicine. At the present time, the physiology is considered a cornerstone in teaching the modern medical science which has become caring about the functions of the different parts of a cell which helped to understand the fundamental changes that accompany the diseases. This also helped to devise ways that reduce the risk of these diseases along with the different ways to prevent them. The Department of Physiology at the College of Medicine in Al-Qunfudah seeks to achieve clear educational objectives for the students of human medicine in both sections of male and female students. The Department teaches all organs of human body such as the nervous system, the endocrine system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the digestive system, the urinary and reproductive systems. The Department of Physiology also commits to adopt modern technological techniques to train the students in the practical part in an effort to graduate students who keep up with the local and international requirements.
