The Umm Al-Qura University Towards Innovation Forum:

The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, under the honorable sponsorship of His Excellency the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail, organized the Umm Al-Qura University Towards Innovation Forum. The event aimed to foster creativity and innovation through the forum program, which included fruitful dialogue sessions and agreements that serve the field of entrepreneurship.

The Vice Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Educational Affairs, Dr. Wajdi Qattan, opened the forum with a seminar entitled: “University Graduates and Job Opportunities in Saudi Vision 2030”, with the Director of the Human Resources Fund (Hadaf) in Makkah, Mr. Muhammad Naqru, and the Deputy Director of the Social Development Bank, Mr. Abdulaziz Bukhari.

Afterwards, there was a meeting between the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Muwaffaq Urijah, the Chief Executive Officer of Wadi Makkah for Technology, Dr. Faisal Allaf, the Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali Al-Sha`iri, and the Dean of the College of Business Administration, Dr. Badr Al-Yubi entitled: “Entrepreneurship in the New System of Saudi Universities”.

Moreover, the Theater Club at UQU gave a theatrical performance entitled "The Last Solution," in which the club members excelled. They provided the audience with a representative image of innovation and creating new fields in entrepreneurship and marketing, which pleased the audience.

 

In his speech, the dean announced the launch of the Executive Diploma in Innovation Management in partnership with the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies. It is one of the professional development programs in Riyada Unit for Consultancy and Training. He then expressed his thanks to the UQU President for his full support for the Institute's programs and for everything that serves our prestigious university.

The Vice Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hisham Malik, then talked about the following competitions held by the Institute with the aim of raising the quality of programs and making them up to date with innovation and entrepreneurship:

  1. Graduation Projects Competition (The Third Round).
  2. Entrepreneurship Competition in the University Colleges.
