What is the Basics of Entrepreneurship Program?
It is an educational program in the field of entrepreneurship.
How long is the program and when are the meetings scheduled?
The program lasts for 10 consecutive weeks and students meet on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Who does the program target?
The program is suitable for anyone who wants to learn about entrepreneurship or who wants to establish his own project in the future.
What will you learn from the program?
You will receive theoretical and practical experience in entrepreneurship; and you will learn what you need to do and study to launch your idea into the business market by creating the business model, strategic plan, market entry plan, and financial model.
What will you need during the program?
Students must attend all sessions. You will need a notebook to take notes during lectures, and in some workshops you will be required to bring your personal computer.
Will the program's hours be counted as credit hours?
No, the program is independent of academic credit hours.
Is the program available to all majors?
Yes, it is.
I am a graduate of Umm Al-Qura University. Is it possible to apply?
Yes, the program is open to graduates who graduated not more than 3 years ago.
When will the program start? When will it end?
The program will begin on Saturday 28 February and end on 27 April, 2019.
I am a female student. Am I eligible to apply?
Yes, the application is available to all students (males and females) who have completed 30 hours of study.
Will there be home assignments to do?
Yes, and they must be done before each new meeting.
When will the accepted students be announced?
On 23 February or earlier.
Are there office hours?
Office hours will be available upon request.
Will the university's GPA rate be considered for submission?
Yes, but there is no minimum rate, and the person will be evaluated according to the entire application file.
Is there a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes, a certificate will be given to all program participants.
Will there be qualifying stages?
Yes, some participants will be disqualified through 3 stages, depending on the maturation of their idea, commitment to assignments, and attendance. The decisions of disqualifications will be done through an examination committee to be formed by the university.
Is it necessary to attach a video upon submission of my application?
No, but we recommend it because there will be points for each applicant when reviewing the application file. We recommend that you produce the video before filling out the application form.
What are the video requirements?
Give a brief description of yourself, your motivation to join the program, and how you will benefit from the program. In addition, give a brief about the idea or the project you intend to present.
