  1. Upgrading Islamic legal knowledge through following up on local, regional, and international developments.

 

  1. Promoting a profound understanding of Islamic shari’a (Islamic law), and keeping pace with scientific and technological developments.

 

  1. Providing students with knowledge and skills, as well as the capacities and awareness necessary to comprehend the science of Islamic shari’a, and to keep pace with its development at the local, Arab, and international levels.

 

  1. Teaching to students the social and economic role of Islamic shari’a in state; society; and public and private institutions.

 

  1. Applying quality standards, and obtaining academic accreditation at the local and international level.

 

  1. Supporting the scientific and research production and the other scientific activities of faculty members and Diploma and Master’s Degree students, and cooperating with international, local, and professional institutions.

 

  1. Encouraging students and faculty members to participate in scientific, cultural, and professional conferences and forums inside and outside the state.
  1. Religious and ideological counseling at military sectors.

 

  1. Religious counseling at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.

  1. Promoting the understanding of Islamic legal facts as well as concepts and values, in order to upgrade Islamic knowledge for applying the solutions of shari’a (Islamic law) to contemporary issues.

 

  1. Upgrading the capacities and skills of the Department’s students in all stages of education.

 

  1. Preparing the Department for applying quality standards, and obtaining academic accreditation at the local and international level.

 

  1. Updating the areas of scientific research; keeping pace with the developments of the age; and opening up prospects for cooperation with local, regional, and international institutions and sectors.
  1. Holding positions in iftaa (giving Islamic legal opinions).

 

  1. Holding notary public positions.

 

  1. Attorney positions.

 

  1. Islamic legal consulting and expertise houses.

 

  1. Holding judicial positions.
