5. Offering scientific consultations, and contributing to developing the Arabic language programs and courses. 
6. Allowing learners to engage in creating knowledge by investing in modern teaching methods that motivate students to know and reveal their higher skills.

The department offers distinguished programs and high quality outputs that combine creativity in research with creating knowledge that is based on the nation's identity and values. It employs important national skilled individuals in the fields of judiciary, education, journalism, media, radio and the diplomatic corps.

The department was established in 1393AH to provide the Masters and PhD degrees in the Arabic language and its two branches, Linguistics, Grammar and Morphology, and Rhetoric and Literary Criticism.

A systematic year with the preparation of a scientific thesis (no less than six semesters and no more than ten semesters).
