Overview:
The Vice Dean for Girls Branch shoulders the responsibility of conducting Faculty affairs related to female students in the bachelor and postgraduate studies phases, from academic affairs to student activities. It gives special attention to administrative work, through improving the performance of the administrative staff through ongoing training and support and enrolling the Faculty members in the specialized courses provided by the University.
Responsibilities of the Vice Deanship for Girls Branch:
- Carrying out administrative work;
- Preparing the Faculty’s list of job vacancies in coordination with the different departments;
- Determining the Faculty needs of technical and administrative jobs and providing equipments and chemical material;
- Addressing the concerned authorities in the University for issues related to the Vice Deanship responsibilities;
- Issuing internal decisions needed for the smooth conduct of work in the Vice Deanship and its units according to rules and regulations;
- Evaluating performance of members of the Faculty;
- Approving ordinary and urgent vacations for members;
- Supervising Lecturers’ admission procedures in coordination with the Dean and scientific departments;
- Supervising admission procedures of graduate students in coordination with the Dean and scientific departments;
- Supervising reception events for new students;
- Supervising the preparation of study and exam schedules and coordinating with different departments, in cooperation with the Deanship of Admission and Registration;
- Supervising application of admission and transfer controls;
- Supervising students requests for postponing study, and the listing and delisting process in accordance with regulations and rules;
- Examining students’ complaints with Deputy Department Heads;
- Supervising the cultural activities, in coordination with the Deanship of Students Affairs; and
- Carrying out the responsibilities and tasks assigned by the Dean.
