The role of the Applied Sciences College’s Vice-deanship for Academic Affairs is to follow up the course of the educational process in all the college’s departments according to the applied regulations and systems. It coordinates with the Deanship of Admission and Registration to set the study and exams schedules, follows up the academic performance of students, ensures providing the suitable academic climate and arranges with the Deanship of Students Affairs regarding the in and out of class activities. Additionally, it is concerned with preparing reports and statistics on the educational level of students as well as the graduates’ follow-up, and ensuring the application of the academic accreditation criteria, especially the fourth criterion regarding teaching and learning that includes 110 practices concerning the academic affairs of students and staff.
Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs and Academic Coordinator Responsibilities:
Coordinating the study schedules;
Following up the students’ academic performance;
Supervising the Study Plans and Curricula Committee;
Coordinating final exams schedules and following them up;
Forming and supervising a committee to examine excuses for not attending the final exams;
Managing the preparations of lecture halls and submitting their maintenance demands;
Following up the re-enrollment processes;
Approving graduation documents and academic records of students;
Forming committees to examine students’ complaints;
Providing student guidance;
Following up registration of students results; and
Coordinating with the Deanship of Admission and Registration concerning the summer semester.
