Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Organize “Internship Open Day “for 4th year students presenting “Internship Booklet” that explains rules and regulation for the mandatory 1-year internship.
  • Manage the department’s internship Email : [email protected]
  • Contact the “ Internship Unit “ at the faculty vice-dean for academic affairs to determine the internship start and end dates. For sending official letters, propose quarter dates.
  • Contact clinical training sites to determine site capacity for accommodating interns. Update the database file with the capacities and contact numbers for clinical site internship supervisors.
  • Inform 4th year students of opening and closing dates for “Internship Preference Portal” where student can enter their preferred site of training.
  • Distribute students according to their GPA and preference sheet. After completion, send the tables to “Internship Unit” at the faculty, where official letters can be sent to clinical training sites.
  • Create personal file for each intern with their basic information and progress notes throughout the mandatory year.
  • Monitor interns training at the clinical sites and regularly assess their training progress.
  • Schedule periodic clinical site visits in coordination with these sites' academic affair office. Meet supervisors and interns for their valuable feedback on training.
  • Review interns' evaluation sheets and add notes of completion on their personal files.
