Roles & Responsibilities:

• Submit a scientific research plan for the department and monitor its progress.
• Compile scientific published papers for staff members and students, encouraging publications in highly ranked journals.
• Provide a bridge to facilitate research opportunities between the department and funding institutes.
• Oversee all department research projects and support staff and students in obtaining necessary approvals. Like for example ethical approval.
• Provide regular workshops and lectures regarding scientific research and statistics, providing support for staff and students alike.
• Discuss topics relevant to postgraduate programs and coordinate with the Executive Committee for Paid Programs in the department for existing and prospective programs.
• Collaborate  with the Department's Curriculum and Study Plans Committee on the revising/updating or development of curricula and study plans for postgraduate programs
