Roles & Responsibilities:
- Distribute “academic advisory booklet” among students and academic advisors at the beginning of the semester.
- Educate the students on their rights and obligations according to UQU policies. Emphasizing student right of knowing each course’s content, learning outcomes, assessment methods and grade distribution on their 1st lecture of the course.
- Collect and archive “academic advisory file” for each student, this file should be created by student-assigned academic advisor which contains information about student progress and monitor.
- Maintain student data confidentiality and privacy. Disclosure of these information only allowed for authorized members.
- Advice students on proper communication methods with staff members and facilitate student support efforts.
- Schedule periodic meetings with students to provide a platform to voice their concerns، obstacles and discussing proper action plans accordingly.
