The College of Applied Sciences, on Wednesday, 18 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., held the final qualifying rounds for the 11th Scientific Meeting under the slogan, "Makaah 2030: Challenges and Developments". The rounds were organized under the patronage of the Vice Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Her Excellency Dr. Rajaa bint Tahir Matouq, who delivered a speech extending her thanks to the College Coordinator, Dr. Aliaa Alfi, for her efforts in coordinating and organizing these rounds and making them appear in this bright image that suits the college.
Next, the College Coordinator, Dr. Aliaa Alfi, delivered her speech in which she thanked all those in charge of preparing this meeting, including the organizers, referees, all members of the working team, and also those who are responsible for completing the remaining steps until the announcement of the winners of the first places.
She mentioned the total number of the participation provided by both sections of the College of Applied Sciences amounted to 25 in all themes, including: research and scientific posters, innovation models and creative ideas, computer applications, digital art, photography, production of awareness films, solo elocution using sign language, chorusing, along with different personal skills. "All of these were branded with its unique nature of excellence and creativity," she expounded.
The meeting included presentations of all the submitted participations before the judging committees, who thanked them and announced the winning 21 participations, including 5 participations from the male section and 16 participations from the female section, as follows: Nada Al-Luqmani and Arij Al-Sayed (Solo Elocution using Sign Language Stream), Fairouz Yar and Noha Al-Samani (Scientific Poster Stream), Mariam Al-Ammar (Scientific Poster Stream), Arij Al-Sayed, Fairouz Yar and Mariam Al-Ammar (Press Meeting Stream), Monira Al-Mosiakti and Arij Al-Sayed (Chorusing Stream), Rihab Al-Barnawi (Computer Application Stream), Azzah Al-Kanawi (Computer Application Stream), Renad Al-Ghamdi (Photography Stream), Nour Al-Ragab (Scientific Research in Basic Sciences Stream), Arij Al-Ahmadi (Personal Skills: Film Makeup Stream), Bayyan Al-Lihiby (Scientific Research in Basic Sciences Stream), Rahaf Al-Aqili (Photography Stream and Production of Awareness Films Stream), Shorouq Al-Hadhli (Photography Stream), Aishah Al-Barnawi (Scientific Research in Basic Sciences Stream), and Bashair Kashari (Scientific Innovation Model Stream). The wining participations were collected in the two days following the meeting, and were submitted according to the conditions of the Deanship of Student Affairs to mark the conclusion of the first round of the 11th Scientific Meeting Competition and the beginning of the second important round which leads to the winning of the first places.
At the end of the event, all the participants were honored, in addition to those who qualified to the finals, as well as those who contributed to the success of the event, including the female referees, staff members, organizers, and participants.
