The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education has partnered with Monash University and UQU College of Pharmacy to provide a pharmacy simulation system (MyDispense).
The system provides several medical scenarios depending on a huge database of patients, in addition to the pharmacy products, thus enabling pharmacy students to interact with patients in a way that mimics real-life situations, helping them to complete their assignments and get useful feedback. This also helps them get prepared before coming to the practical application, and reduces medicine dispensing errors.
His Excellency the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairi, said that such a partnership comes within the endeavors of the deanship to provide quality services that increase the effectiveness of the learning and teaching process, contribute to the quality of learning outcomes, prepare students for the work environment, provide them with the ability to make decisions, and reflect the bright picture of UQU in spreading science and knowledge. He then praised the unlimited support received by the deanship from the UQU President and the follow up of the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs.
