Distance Training Plan for Students at the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education

The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education is keen to spread and strengthen the culture of e-learning, implementing its first training program for the first semester of the academic year 1443 A.H. It is pleased to launch the induction program on the electronic educational system under the slogan: "A Promising Digital Breakthrough". This program targets our new students at the university, to introduce them to the electronic educational system and the services provided by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education. It is presented synchronously through the WebEx visual communication system, to maximize the benefit gained from it by including all students at Umm Al-Qura University.

Program Objectives:

  1. Introducing university students to the electronic educational system.
  2. Training university students on the correct and optimal use of electronic educational systems.
  3. Enhancing the concept of e-learning, explaining the services that are provided to the students by the deanship, and clarifying the correct methods of communicating with the deanship to obtain support throughout their university career.

- Introducing the e-learning system and the services provided by the Deanship of E-Learning to its students.

- Correct use of the Blackboard Learning Management System and support systems.

- Student's Blackboard application.

- The mechanism of completing assignments and participating in discussion boards, in accordance with the learner’s digital behavior policies guide.
