The tasks of the faculty members for carrying out the plan:

All colleges must:

  1. Provide special educational content for the course on the Blackboard e-learning system by faculty members.
  2. Upload assignments on Blackboard, i.e., the tasks to be performed and how to submit them electronically, and then enter the grades, which contributes to reducing paper use and reducing the means of transmission of the virus.
  3. Transfer lectures from typical classrooms to virtual classrooms as a concurrent access method. Collaborate is used for audiovisual communication, and screen and file sharing while connected. The system has the benefit of restricting attendance only to students registered in the course.
  4. The faculty members should comply with the academic schedule approved by the Deanship of Admission and Registration when holding virtual classrooms, enabling the students to return to them if they face any problem while accessing the virtual classroom during the lecture.
  5. Office hours and meetings should be switched to the WebEx system to avail of its services, such as screen sharing and attendance control, operating it on any system or internet browser.
  6. Submit a weekly report by the college on the number of lectures in which switching was made through the form on this link.

Training

The Deanship of Distance Learning and Education has developed an extensive plan to electronically train faculty members on the use of the Blackboard learning environment. Course schedules can be found and course registration can be made on the training page.
