The Dean of the College of Health Sciences in Al-Laith, Dr. Tareq bin Abdullah bin Ahmad Dhafer, praised the visit that Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President, paid to the scientific colleges in Al-Laith on Wednesday, Rabi’ al-awwal 22, 1438H. And he described the visit as an ambitious one through which Dr. Assas listens to his students closely and identifies their needs and demands.
In addition, Dr. Dhafer declared in a press release that this visit creates a strong motive to achieve further development and improvement for the educational progress in the College of Health Sciences in Al-Laith, so as to reach excellence and international leadership. Moreover, he added that it also shows the eagerness of the UQU President to inspect the deanships, colleges, and supporting units in all UQU branches, with the aim of listening to his students and ensuring that all their needs and demands are met.
He also stated that the girls’ buildings allocated to the College of Health Sciences -whose contract has been signed between the UQU President and the owner of the building- will upgrade the capacity of the college to better serve the girls of this beloved governorate, and become a strong base through which the students and the faculty members at all health departments will develop the fields of academia and scientific research.
Furthermore, Dr. Dhafer mentioned that the College of Health Sciences witnesses a great development under the auspices of the UQU President and the Vice-Presidents through establishing new departments in various fields and encouraging our sons to enroll in them, along with providing continuous support to different health, awareness, research and social activities.
Dr. Assas inspected the mobile clinic that is designed in an excellent way to ensure offering proper public health care, and providing care, consultation and awareness to the public at large. He also checked the modern medical equipment of the clinic that aim at providing quality medical services to the patients.
Noteworthy, the clinic will also offer basic preventive care such as, examination with chemical and physical devices, detection, healthcare consultation, and other programs and academic researches.
Concluding, Dr. Dhafer praised the achievements and contributions of Dr. Fares bin Muhammad Nour Altaf, Former Dean of the College of Health Sciences, who has worked on this unique project which is a dream that has come true.
