The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship conducted the second "Modeling and Manufacturing" workshop on Monday, 27 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., in the presence of the vice deans of colleges for development and entrepreneurship at Umm Al-Qura University and its branches. This purpose of this workshop was to train vice deans in the field of modeling and manufacturing and inform them about the importance and extent of its relationship to entrepreneurship.
During this workshop, enquires posed by vice deans concerning the graduation projects competition and the process for registering outstanding student research through the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship website were answered.
His Excellency Dr. Wajdi Qattan, the Vice Dean of the Institute for Educational Affairs, made a visual presentation to inform the vice deans about the concepts and basics of modeling and manufacturing.
At the end of the workshop, the vice deans of development and entrepreneurship conducted an introductory tour of the modeling laboratory at the Institute of Innovation under the patronage of his Excellency the Dean and the Vice Deans of the Institute. During the visit, means of cooperation among university colleges were discussed. For his part, his Excellency Dr. Hisham Malak, the Vice Dean of the Institute offered his thanks and appreciation to the vice deans of the colleges of Umm Al-Qura University for their attendance and interaction with the second workshop. He also added that their participation indicates their desire to accomplish the university's vision of achieving excellence locally and regionally in education, scientific research, serving the community and entrepreneurship. He hoped that such cooperation may contribute to the development of a knowledge-based economy in the university and the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030.
