Within the framework of “Tech Hour Initiative”, the Girls Section in the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), organized its second webinar on RFID technology. The webinar was presented by Mrs. Areej Banjar on Wednesday, 2^nd Shaaban 1439H (18^th April 2018) at 7:00-8:00pm. The event was attended by many people of both genders who were interested in technical topics and modern education from different places. This was via the virtual classroom system offered by UQU through the Deanship of E-Learning.  

During the webinar, the latest technology for automatic ID updating in the domain of information and communication technologies (ICT) was identified, namely radio-frequency identification (RFID). The technique, system components and operation mechanism of such technology were explained. Moreover, presentations on the system’s usage domains and applications at the largest international companies were made.
