Followed-up and supervised by Dr. Khaled Al-Mutairi, Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, and Dr. Sultan Al-Mutairi, the Vice-Dean, the E-Learning laboratories embraced the first week of electronic tests for many colleges.
It should be noted that the number of staff members who have adopted electronic tests instead of paper is increasing from year to year. This is because students find e-tests comfortable, especially in evaluation transparency and correction ease. Moreover, the use of e-test labs enables staff members to benefit from the advantages provided by the system of "Ta'allum (Learning)." For example, they can test students electronically via E-Learning laboratories which facilitate processing, design and instant feedback for students, in addition to statistical information on the quality of the test elements and linking them to the educational objectives of the course.
Dr. Khaled Al-Mutairi stressed the keenness of UQU Leadership to equip E-Learning laboratories with the latest technologies and software and link them with high speed of flow. This aims to provide UQU staff members and students with the best services and circumstances for conducting e-tests and spread such labs in the various UQU colleges.
Dr. Al-Mutairi also extended deep thanks to Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), and Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Sorouji, Vice President for Academic Affairs, for their concern with spreading the e-learning culture all over UQU. He also thanked all college deans, as well as staff members who participated and used the e-learning system. In addition, he thanked the staff in charge of the e-test centers for their effort and keenness to use the system and all what could benefit students and develop the educational process.
