Duties of the Academic Advisor

  1. Visiting the student at the training site (as often as possible).
  2. Checking on student's training progress and learning about the training conditions.
  3. Ensuring the availability of a proper training program for the student.
  4. Submitting remarks about the training organization from his own point of view (one time for each training organization) on the following link: click here
  5. Discussing the student's performance and highlighting his points of weakness and strength.
  6. Following up on the student during the training period as well as assuring his attendance and commitment to the program.
  7. Providing advice and guidance for the student during the training period.
  8. Using the Blackboard system, as the students themselves have registered with the training supervisor though the Blackboard system.
  9. Responding to the training organizations' questions on the training and its rules and regulations or on the forms that have to be filled in by the training organization.
  10. Fostering the relationship between the training organizations and the college in such a manner that serves public interest.
  11. Solving problems that might face the students during the training period, in coordination with the summer training administration.
  12. Filling in the assessment form, electronically, for each student on the following link (to be published soon) within one week after the conclusion of the training period. It is to be noted that the supervisor's grade is worth 10% of the final training grade.
  13. The training period lasts for at least 45 days (not including official holidays and vacations). The training organization is entitled to increase this period based on its training program provided that the training hours shall not be less than seven hours a day (permitted lower limit). The parties which have fixed, approved or intensive training programs are excluded in this regard.
  14. If the student does not respond to the academic supervisor, either by communicating or visiting him or by email, the supervisor is entitled to report the student and take the necessary procedures in this regard.
  15. The student should submit the weekly report on the summer training website (students have been informed to submit the weekly report on the relevant form).
  16. Summer training administration sends the weekly reports file to the supervisors every Sunday. The supervisor then checks reports related to him to follow up on his students.
