The College of Applied Sciences, represented by the Student Council in both the male and female sections, on Thursday morning, 20 Rajab 1442 A.H., organized a scientific visit for a number of male and female students to the research laboratories building.
The visit aimed to introduce the building and its objectives and the services it provides in the field of basic science research, present the advanced equipment that contributes to increasing the quality of scientific research, and prepare the students for postgraduate studies at the college to keep pace with the global development in research.
The visit began with an introductory presentation on the building, followed by a tour of all the research units of the building, in which a brief explanation of the scientific devices and how to benefit from them in various research applications was given.
At the end of the visit, His Excellency the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ismail Al-Thaqafi, and His Excellency the Vice Dean for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Tahani Bawazir, thanked the male and female students for their eagerness, for coming to see the research capabilities of the building, and for their commitment in applying the precautionary measures during the visit. They also thanked the administration of the building and the male and female technicians who accompanied the students and answered their inquiries. Moreover, they expressed their appreciation to the Dean of the College, Prof. Wael Al-Amoudi, for the continuous support of the various activities of the college.
This visit comes within the activities that the college is keen to establish to increase the scientific awareness of the male and female students and to motivate them to learn and develop their scientific and research skills.
